Eric came to BMBC in November 2016. His personal mission is to glorify God by proclaiming the supremacy of Christ and fostering gospel culture wherever he lives, serves, and plays. Previously, Eric served as Associate Pastor of Administration and Discipleship of First Southern Baptist Church Scottsdale, Senior Pastor of Hill Grove Baptist Church in Guston, KY, and Associate Pastor of Highland Baptist Church in Georgetown, IN.
Originally from South Carolina, Eric spent much of his childhood living across the Southeast in a military family before serving five years in the United States Army. While in the Army in Tennessee, he met and married EmiLee in 1999. The Lord has richly blessed them with six children: Zachary, Judson, Emma, Will, Josiah and Josh. If you want to know what gets Eric excited, here’s a good start: Jesus, EmiLee, his kids and the Clemson Tigers athletic teams (especially football). He loves baseball, college football, family time, reading a good biography, and the music of Andrew Peterson.
